Up and coming stage actress Kate O'Flynn has already won numerous accolades for roles in a number of plays, but after winning Most Promising Newcomer at this year's Critics' Choice Awards it seems that 2014 is set to be her year.

Fresh off the heels of appearing in Simon Stephens's Port at the National Theatre, a part which saw her character age from 11 to 24, she's set to star in Shelagh Delaney's seminal 1950s play A Taste of Honey alongside acting veteran Lesley Sharp, also at the National. After training at RADA, she played Mary in Lillian Hellman's The Children's Hour in 2010 alongside Keira Knightley and Elisabeth Moss, picking up a TMA Award for Best Supporting Performance and a MEN Award for Best Newcomer. Since then her notable stage appearances have included LUNGS in 2011, described by the Sunday Express as 'the most beautiful, quietly shattering play of the year', and The Ritual Slaughter of Gorge Mastromas at the Royal Court. Although she's also appeared on screen, it looks like O'Flynn is set to become one of the West End's most accomplished stage performers.
